Non Splashing Thermocouple

A fast-response, non-splashing thermocouple with a protective cotton tube is utilized for measuring the temperature of molten metal.

This expendable thermocouple consists mainly of a temperature probe and a large paper tube.

The positive and negative wires of the probe are welded to compensation wires housed in a bracket encased by a smaller paper tube.

The hot wire is supported and protected by quartz, while the temperature probe is topped with a lid to prevent scum buildup.

All components are positioned at the thermocouple's end and secured together with a refractory filler.

    Product Features

    ● The globally recognized thread design serves as the essential component of the thermocouple tip and the thermometer itself.

    ● Outstanding precision, with a tolerance of ±1.5 degrees Celsius.

    ● Safe for handling.

    ● Operating range: 0 to 1760 degrees Celsius.

    ● Quick response time of under 3 seconds, featuring low thermal inertia for straightforward operation and maintenance.

    Usage

    ● Choose an appropriate length of protective paper tube and a suitable temperature measuring gun based on the measurement object and scope.

    ● Attach the fast thermocouple to the temperature measuring gun and reset the pointer (or digital display) of the secondary instrument to zero. This indicates a proper connection and readiness for measurement.

    ● Insert the fast thermocouple into the molten steel to a depth of 300-400 mm. Avoid measuring against the furnace wall or slag to ensure quick, stable, and accurate readings. The immersion time in molten steel should not exceed 5 seconds to prevent damage to the temperature measuring gun.

    ● After removing the temperature measuring gun from the furnace, detach the used thermocouple and replace it with a new one. Allow a few minutes for a pause before preparing for the next measurement. Continuous measurement and removal are not recommended, as this may cause temperature fluctuations.
